- Free hand technical drawing is a form of precise manual drawing with rulers, set of French curves, pencils and pens. Free hand technical drawing will never be fully replaced by computer generated drawings despite of growing importance of CAD in fashion industry.
- CAD ( Computer Aided Design) is a computer generated drawing created most often in one of the vector graphic programs ( most usual choice for computer aided technical drawing is Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw). It is also possible to create a fashion technical in Photoshop (using pen tool and other vector graphics instruments of Photoshop), but vector graphic programs ( such as is Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw) are better equipped for technical drawing and should be a default choice for fashion technical drawing.
